WELCOME TO THE POWER GENERATOR OF THE FUTURE: YOU!

Last night a friend and I were discussing a future where we could create electricity in our homes simply by walking around...and today I found that it is almost here, a concept already realized and ready to put into place!

Just in time for the 2012 London Olympics, that city's largest mall is installing paving stones that harvest electricity from the friction caused when people walk over them. That electricity will be used to power 50% of their outdoor lighting.

What a wonderful example of human innovation and courage (talking the mall owners into installing this)! Welcome to our future, folks:
